ECOLOGY-BASED PERSPECTIVE IN SHORT STORIES WRITING LEARNING FOR IX GRADE OF SMP NEGERI 4 AMPANA KOTA KABUPATEN TOJO UNA

Ecology-based perspective in short stories writing learning is developed according to ecology-based ideas. Ecology issue becomes a creative and imaginative inspiration to be implemented by the students in their writing. It is expected that the students experience improvement in short stories writing at school. Reserach problem in this reserach is the effect of short story writing learning in eco-friendly word choices, intrinsic factor, and students’ ability in writing ecology short stories in IX grade SMP Negeri 4 Ampana Kota. This research employs quantitative approach in addition to true-experimental design. Furthermore, randomized preeest-posttest only control group design is also employed. The reserach finding shows that the average score of short story writing in experimental class is 75,8548 that is in good quality, which is higher than the control class wherein the score is in sufficient quality that is 69,9667. The finding therefore concludes that at some extent there is influence of ecology short story writing learning on students’ ability in writing ecology short stories as well as the progress in eco-friendly word choices and the encouragement of good instrinsic factor.
