WEB-BASED SME INFORMATION SYSTEM IN IMOGIRI DISTRICT OF BANTUL IN BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

ABSTRACT
This study aims to test the efficiency of the use of WEB-based information systems in SMEs in Imogiri District of Bantul. Based on observations from the use of the Imogiri sub-district website, there are still relatively few SMEs in Imogiri, which tackle the site to introduce its business, thus less able to know the development of SMEs. The subjects of this study are 20 SMEs in Imogiri subdistrict using web-based information system and following the government’s licensing program. Analysis of this research by using quantitative and qualitative data descriptions by interpreting the percentage of efficient use of information systems. Based on the results of testing and discussion shows that the efficiency of SMEs that utilize web-based information system about 20% and who take care of SME licensing approximately 50%. The results of analysis indicate that there is still a need for assistance from government or private sector to pay attention to SME development in Imogiri subdistrict especially by using information system so that the potency and economic progress of Imogiri area can be known by society in general and investor, and also need the way for more skilled and skilled SMEs Understand the usefulness of web information systems in improving the business
