THE REVITALIZATION OF TRADITIONAL GAME TOOLS IN CHILD-FRIENDLY EDUCATION PERSPECTIVES

ABSTRACT
This paper presents the results of pre-research of R & D of childfriendly educational game tools by revitalizing the existed traditional games. This pre-research mainly focused on identifying potential values in traditional games to be developed into childfriendly educational game tools. The data was collected by observing traditional game tools at some PAUDs (early-education) in Semarang Municipality, which was selected with purposive random sampling, and by reviewing some documents of traditional games in Central Java. The results shows that there are some relevance and potential philosophical and educational values attached in traditional games that can be promoted into childfriendly educational game tools.
