THE ROLE OF STRATEGY METACOGNITIVE LEARNING THROUGH ABILITY OF MATHEMATIS PROBLEM SOLVING

ABSTRACT
This study aims to describe metacognitive learning strategy which is very instrumental in the ability of problem solving mathematically. This research was conducted at SMK Karya Bangsa, Kalimulya, Depok. The research time for three months is from June to August. The sample in this research is the students of class XI SMK Karya Bangsa academic year 2015-2016, as many as 40 people. The method used is quasi experimental method, Technique of data analysis that is used is t test. The results obtained that there are differences in students’ mathematical problem solving skills that are taught by SQ3R type metaconitif learning strategies and students are taught with KWL-type metaconitive learning strategies, so that the metacognitive learning strategy of SQ3R type plays an important role in mathematical problem-solving ability
