THE THEME BASED ON THE LOCAL WISDOM OF SOUTH SUMATRA IN THE CREATIVE WRITING PROCESS

ABSTRACT
This article discusses the Writing literature at the University level should be applied in the process of writing literature so as to produce short stories of high aesthetic value. However, the writing process has difficulty when pouring the mind into writing. What’s more, in the process of developing creative ideas in the process of writing short stories. Therefore, in the process of writing short stories needed the right theme of local wisdom of South Sumatra. Lifting a theme close to the background of the author will facilitate the creative process of developing the story. Given that the State of Indonesia has a cultural diversity that becomes the identity of each region. One of them is South Sumatra which has local wisdom of its people who live in the area of renah and talang.
