THE DEVELOPMENT OF LEARNING DEVICE THROUGH LEARNING CYCLE 7E MODEL GEOMETRY SIDE FLAT MATERIAL IN CLASS VIII OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

ABSTRACT 

This research is a development research which intends to describe the development process and produce a good learning device and to describe the effectiveness of learning by using the model of Learning Cycle 7E on the material geometry side flat in Junior High School class VIII. This development model refers to the 4-D model namely define, design, develop and disseminate. Good devices comply the practical and effective criteria and the item about who prepared has been declared valid, reliable and sensitive. Trial learning devices in addition to determine the effectiveness and practicality of learning devices. The experiments results show: (1) the learning devices is practical because of the teachers’ ability to manage the learning at least well for each meeting, and (2) learning devices is effective because students’ responses was positive and the classical learning achievement have been reached. Learning devices that implemented obtained the effectiveness data of learning cycle 7E model device; (1) the ability of teachers in learning management categorized minimum good, (2) student response was positive, and (3) students’ mastery learning classically has been achieved
