BUILDING THE DISCIPLINARY CHARACTER EDUCATION ON STUDENT BEHAVIOR IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

ABSTRACT
Character education is specifically developed to teach children about the quality and traits of good character. Good character is not formed automatically; it is developed over time through a sustained process of teaching. The intentional teaching of good character is particularly important since youth face many opportunities and dangers unknown to earlier generations. The purpose of conducting this research is to explore the overview about the implementation of disciplinary character building on student behavior in early childhood education starting from the planning of disciplinary character education, until the implementation of disciplinary character education. This research used qualitative approach in which the results show that the planning, the implementation of disciplinary character building on student behavior has been well concept. The method used by the teachers of early childhood education in disciplinary character education on student behavior at early age was effective and encourage the students getting used to discipline
