THE EFFECT OF SAVI MODEL AND STUDENT’S LEARNING INTEREST ON STUDENT’S LEARNING OUTCOMES IN WRITING POETRY AT THE EIGHT GRADE OF SMP AL-IKHLAS TUAL

ABSTRACT
SAVI The purpose of this research is to analyze: (1) the effect of SAVI (Somatic Auditory Visualization Intellectually) model and direct instructional model on student’s learning outcomes of writing poetry study, (2) to analyze the effect of student’s learning interest to student’s learning outcomes of writing poetry, and (3) to analyze the interaction between model SAVI, Direct Instructional Model and student’s learning interest to student’s learning outcomes in write poetry on students of class VIII at SMP Terpadu Al-Ikhlas Tual. The design of this study was true experimental with factorial design. The subjects were the students in class VIIA and VIIB SMP Terpadu Al-Ikhlas Tual in 2016/2017 academic year. Data were Analyzes of Variance (ANOVA) two tailed with 0,05 level of significance. The result of research and hypothesis testing concluded that: (1) there is effect of learning model SAVI and direct instructional model to student’s learning outcomes to write poetry with significance 0,036 (α <0,05); (2) there is effect of student’s learning interest to student’s learning outcomes of writing poetry with the significance of 0,000 (α <0.05), and (3) there is an interaction of the use of the SAVI learning model and the direct instructional model with the student’s learning interest on the student’s learning outcomes of writing poetry with significance 0,029 (α <0,05).
