THE DEVELOPMENT OF LEARNING CYCLE 5E MODEL PACKAGE TO TRAIN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT’S CREATIVE THINKING SKILL

ABSTRACT
This research is aimed to produce a valid, practicable, and effective Learning Cycle 5E model package to train creative thinking skil of junior high school students’ scientific. The subjects of this research was teaching and learning set. This development research was develop using DickCarey’s model and try out research using one group pre-test post-test design. First try out was conducted in 8th grade students of SMPN 1 Peudada. The data analysis technique used descriptive quantitative and qualitative. The results showed: (1) a very valid learning material developed; (2) the learning process took place well; (3) the students more active in learning; (4) the learning achievement of students has increased by a score of N-gain medium high category that is 0,80. Base on the data analysis, it can be concluded that Learning Cycle 5E model package is valid, practicable, and effective train students’ creative thinking competence.
