STUDENTS’ ATTITUDE AND POLITICAL MORAL BEHAVIOR TOWARDS POLITICAL SOCIALIZATION

 ABSTRACT

This research aims at revealing: (1) the effect of political socialization through family, educational institution and mass media to the students’ political attitude; (2) the effect of political socialization through family, educational institution and mass media to the students’ political moral behaviour; (3) the effect of political attitude towards students’ political moral attitude. The subjects of this study are students of Civics Education of Teacher Training in PGRI University of Yogyakarta and gained purposively. The data are obtained through questionnaire of attitude scale from Likert. Regression and Path techniques are employed to analyse the data. The results of this research are: (1) political socialization through family, educational institution and mass media gives positive impact on students’ political attitude; (2) political socialization through family, educational institution and mass media gives impact indirectly to students’ political attitude; (3) Students’ political behaviour gives positively and significantly impact on their political moral behaviour.
