SMARTCLASS DESIGN BASED ON INTERNET OF THINGS

ABSTRACT
The Internet of Things (IoT), known as an application that transferred data through a network without involving man to man interaction, has developed in education sector. Due to the informational technology that change rapidly, it is a must for educational process to continuously doing an adaptation.A smartcampuss development will be the way to support educational process by designing an integrated IoT system in Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta. The purpose of this research is to design a smartclass prototype based on an IoT system.The Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF), specifically using waterfall model with Object Oriented Development (OOD) approach will used as a research method. For data testing, this research using both hardware and software testing. This research has some stages, starts from problem identification, initial planning, designing and finished by product trials. The expected outcomes are succesfully building a smartclass prototype based on an IoT system and considering smartclass to be a part of smartcampuss
