GROUP CORRECTION OF STUDENTS’ WRITTEN ASSIGNMENT ASSISTED WITH PEER-EDITING WORKSHEET: The effects on students’ cause/effect essay writing

ABSTRACT
The main aim of the study is to develop the students’ ability in writing a cause effect essay through Group Correction of Students’ Written Assignment assisted with Peer-Editing Worksheet. The type of the study is pre-experimental research. The subject of the study is the fourth semester students of the English Education Department of Universitas PGRI Semarang. The sample of the study is the students of Class 4D who join Writing 4 course. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling. The method to collect the data was test which were given after the students got the treatment. The data was then analyzed by using quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The result of the study shows that Group Correction of Students’ Written Assignment assisted with Peer Editing Worksheet can help the students develop their writing ability.
