TEACHING SPEAKING THROUGH PROJECT-BASED LEARNING IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL BY A REPUTABLE TEACHER.

ABSTRACT
This study aims to find out how the reputable teacher implements teaching speaking through Project-Based learning (PBL) and the students’ spoken ability after the reputable teacher implementing teaching speaking through PBL. In collecting the data, non-participatory observation was done for six meetings. The guided interview and documentation also used to complete the data. Qualitative approach was also used in this design of study. The findings showed that the reputable teacher applied teaching speaking through PBL in six meetings. Teacher prepared learning media such as lesson plan, media, and assessment very well. Reputable teacher was also able to utilize technology as a means of supporting the teaching and learning process. She also implemented some speaking teaching techniques such as drilling, discussed and brainstorming. The result showed that the implementation of PBL in teaching speaking also gave significant changes for the students
