AN ANALYSIS OF ENGLISH TEACHER MADE TESTS IN THE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL FINAL EXAMINATION

ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to investigate the quality of English teacher made tests in the Junior High School final examination. Descriptive is applied as the research design while mix method is applied in collecting and analysing the data. The proportioned stratified sample is used in selecting the research samples. The techniques that are used to obtain the research data were in the form of documentation and questionnaire. The findings show that English teacher made tests in the Junior High School final examination have good validity and very high degree of reliability. They are also considered to be good test items in terms of both item facility and item discrimination but dissatisfactory in terms of item distractor.
