PLAYING A ROLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH DRAMA TEXT WRITTEN BY STUDENT USING ROLE PLAYING METHOD

 ABSTRACT

Many students are not confident in writing drama text and playing a role in the classroom. The problem of this research is whether there is any influence of role playing method toward the ability of playing a role in accordance with drama text which was written by students. This study used experimental method. The Population of this study is the fourth semester students of Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of PGRI Palembang. The data was obtained by using a practice test technique. The results showed that there was an influence of role playing method toward the ability of playing a role in accordance with the drama text which was written by students. Hypothesis testing used parametric statistical, t-test formula. It is based on the results of the data analysis by using t-test, it was found that the value of t-obtain was 3.58, while the value of ttable was 1.66. t-obtained was higher than t-table. Therefore Hypothesis alternative was accepted.
