THE USE OF POP UP BOOKS ON SCIENCE LEARNING IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

ABSTRACT 

Pop Up Book is a book in which contains texts or pictures if opened 3-dimensional or arise interesting shape that can interact with the reader. This Research aims to describe the use of pop up books on science learning in elementary schools using quantitative approach in descriptive method. Sample of this research is 28 students of third grader and chosen by purposive at one of elementary school in Bukittinggi, West Sumatera. Technique of taking data using closed questionnaire. In the questionnaire there are 10 statements containing the opinions of respondents to the pop up book that has been taught. Results obtained in the questionnaire using Likert scale stated that 92.2% of students strongly agreed to use a pop up book in science learning. The conclusion of this research is the use of pop up book become one of solution of quality improvement of science learning in elementary school
